Because
we’re not all bark.
We operate by three abiding principles
at Barking Dog:
Honesty.
Unlike
the “spin doctor” reputation often associated with
the practice of public relations, we believe you don’t have to
lie to get good media coverage. We employ a direct, no-fluff approach
to media relations that builds credibility and generates excellent results
for our clients.
Integrity.
We
do what we say we will do, and we’re honest about what we can’t
do. We are careful to assess the entire PR landscape and available
resources before creating programs, pitching media stories or making
promises that are not achievable or will not bring value to our clients.
Teamwork.
We
function best as part of our clients’ management or communications
team. That’s where we can learn about what’s most important
to our clients and provide the best PR guidance possible.
But
don’t
just take our word for it.
Ask our clients:
“Barking
Dog Communications provides an exceptional level of professionalism
and service to the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn. With them
on board, we’ve never had to worry about PR – we know
they have it handled, and handled well. What has impressed us most,
however, is their commitment to teamwork. We could not do it without
them.”
Jim
Correll, Executive Tournament Director, Greater Hickory Classic at Rock
Barn
“When
our book distributor told us that our book sales during the first
six weeks were ‘phenomenal,’ we knew that our decision
to hire Barking Dog Communications to market our book was the right
choice. There is no doubt in my mind that the success of our book, Pit
Road Pets: NASCAR Stars and Their Pets, is a result of the outstanding
nationwide publicity Barking Dog has given us. The creative and professional
staff at Barking Dog has been a joy to work with, and we look forward
to future projects with their firm.”
Rosalie De Fini, Executive Director, Ryan Newman Foundation
“Quite
frankly, you exceeded our expectations for media coverage of the
national diving championships. I would recommend Barking Dog bar
none.”
Molly
Burroughs, Executive Director, Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics
“Amy
McCauley’s
Barking Dog Communications does a terrific job for you. It is apparent
that they are much more than just a vendor for the GHC, but a true
partner in promoting the tournament. Much of the successful impact
in the community that you have achieved can no doubt be attributed
to your marketing and promotional efforts.”
From
the Champions Tour’s evaluation of the Greater Hickory
Classic at Rock Barn
“The
Barking Dog team has really made our company shine this year. From
one program alone they were able to position us in over twenty media
spots, including several very prominent radio, TV, magazine and newspaper
pieces. I can’t say enough for their professionalism, their ‘can
do’ attitude and genuine concern for our company, clients and staff.
In addition to their high standards, they set themselves apart by focusing
solely on public relations. I am clear on what they deliver, and they
deliver it exceptionally well.”
Roberta
Farnum, Co-Owner, Home Instead Senior Care
“I
can sum up Barking Dog’s
services in one word: awesome. They know their stuff, and they deliver
great results. Their efforts have helped us put our program on the
map without having to spend a fortune to do it.”
Steve
Johnson, Program Director, Bobby Isaac Motorsports Program
“Barking
Dog Communications was a godsend for the Catawba County Parenting Network.
They developed and executed a PR plan that met our needs and exceeded
our expectations. In the short time we were able to retain them, they
achieved everything they set out to do on our behalf. We received more
media coverage than we’ve ever seen! We are thrilled
to recommend their services to anyone looking for a PR firm that gets
the job done.”
Susan
Hanley, Parent Resource Coordinator, Catawba County Parenting Network
“The
business of racing is highly dependent on great relationships with
sponsors, and Barking Dog Communications has done a terrific job helping
us develop and maintain our sponsor accounts. They have experience
with and knowledge of both our industry and our organization, and because
of this we know we can count on them for sound counsel and issues management
in addition to their day-to-day work. They have been an invaluable
partner to us and our sponsors.”
Cal
Wells, President, PPI Motorsports
“Phil
and I spoke a lot last week and I just read his final recap reports
on coverage and the media center operation. It sounds like we had a
terrific week on all fronts last week in Hickory and I wanted to recognize
and thank you for your efforts on behalf of the [Greater Hickory Classic
at Rock Barn] tournament and the Champions Tour. Phil, Dave and I really
appreciate the opportunity to work with true professionals. You certainly
fit that bill.”
Jeff
Adams, Director of Public Relations, Champions Tour
“As
Barking Dog helped us form a PR strategy and worked to implement it,
they proved to be an integral part of our business. They have worked
hard to become like an extension of our company. As a small business,
we didn't need a full time PR staff. With the help of Barking Dog,
we are achieving our goals in a cost effective way.”
Christie
Pedder, President, Community Service Book
“Amy
and Beth were fantastic. Both were extremely cooperative with a variety
of pre- and post-tournament requests and completely buttoned up with
procedures… Amy and Beth also brought several creative
ideas to the table…”

Thomson, Business Affairs Manager, Champions Tour
